Best DVD player ive ever had. Progressive Scan, plays no region dvds, and ive never had a problem. Bought one two years ago, it still works beautifully. Low cost, high return, cant beat that.
I have had this DVD player for 6 months now and it seemed to work well.I have had no problems with it until today. Luckily it did not mess up our movie, it still played in our better DVD player. I called the number and there was a recording saying that I had reached a "consumer rewards service". My daughter came running out of the room and said it was smoking. This DVD player is potentially dangerous and I can't seem to get a hold of Durabrand to let them know. I went into the room and immediately saw smoke and their was a burned plastic aroma filling the room. I turned it on and put in a movie for my kids to watch. I looked on the back of the DVD player for the costumer service number which was 1-800-315-5885.
I took out the movie and unplugged it. I took it outside immediately. This number is not their costumer service number. I am just thankful that I caught it smoking before anything worse happened.
The first one they sent didn't start, and the next one they sent cuts off after a few minutes. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. I WAS CHEATED.
Plugs in anywhere, small and compact. I've had it about 2 years and it still works great.
I ran to the breaker turned everything off and am throwing this thing in the metal trash bin outside. I had this little dvd player for a year and it would sometimes freeze, and in order to unfreeze it I would have to skip ahead or go back. Tonight it popped-smoke was coming out of it-scared the bejeez out of me. I think you get what you pay for. Target has a sale on a Philips VCR/DVD combo, and I think i'm going with that one.
